During the last year I have been buying parts for the car. I picked up JDM (Japanese Domestic Manufactured) parts that are different from the US parts. I got both front and rear bumpers, grille, side markers and taillights. Also picked up more misc parts like a JDM Digital gauge cluster, Optional trunk wing, Momo steering wheel, HKS Oil Cap, HKS Radiator cap and East Bear Aero Mirrors.
And the best score of all courtesy of Kevn...a Brand new set of SSR Mesh Wheels Brand New in the box!
You know what's hot in Japan right now? USDM. They go through all the trouble of finding US parts to convert their JDM cars to US spec. Man, I say just find a dude with the same car across the pond and trade!
I decided to do this blog to cover the build of my 1987 Toyota Corolla GTS Coupe aka "Hachi Roku", "AE-86". Although I post the build on other sites, I figured that I would use this one to show all the steps in between...big or small, you'll see them here. I may also from time to time post some of my latest projects from work.
I hope to have this car done by March 2008, but time and $$$$$$ is going to decide that.
Thanks for the look,
Rich
